For Sale: Spectacular and very rarely available in this condition - a Tom Ford for Gucci Ivory, Pleated Stretch Silk Runway Dress from his Spring 2004 Collection, featured on the runway in white. Beautifully soft silk material with eye-catching and unique pleating and stitch detailing all over. It's made with raw-hem/distressed silk with a little spandex for stretch. It has a beautiful sweetheart neckline and fastens at the side with a zip. Would make a beautiful vintage wedding dress (simple yet spectacular). This is in exceptional condition for a 20 year old dress made of such fine fabric and in this colour. There are no under-arm marks or yellowing of the fabric, no stains, discolouration or loose stitching. The pleated strands are raw and unfinished (by design) and have extremely minimal fraying. The only flaw to note is a tiny tear in the fabric at the back (approximately 1 inch from the hem and sits underneath the rear pleated strands so not visible) - see final few photos). If you want the dress to be perfect, you could have the hem shortened by 1.5 inches to get rid of this entirely. I attach a photo from 1stDibs showing the same dress in white that has been shortened (final photo). This is Italian Size 38 US Size 2 and UK Size 6. True-to-Size (mannequin is a size UK 6) - the dress has been expertly let-out at the rear (top strap) as this collection comes up quite small so allows for a bit more room at the bust. Internal composition label has been removed. Currently retailing in black for over on 1stDibs!!
