Vintage Gucci silk scarf, titled "Il Continenti" (The Continents,) lavishly and colorfully illustrated with flora, fauna and fungi from all over the world with a deep blue border. The scarf, signed in the lower right hand corner, "Gucci," is also signed by the artist, "Magni," next to a bee in the upper left hand corner; a Gucci brand tag is.sewn into a back corner Measuring nearly a square, 34.5 inches long by 33 inches wide, the scarf has hand-rolled, hand-sewn edges. There are several small spots on the scarf including a small white halo-ish circle about 1/4 inch on the back side of the blue border, a spot where an ink stain was lifted in the middle of the scarf, and some tiny brown spots in various places on the piece. None of these flaws are immediately apparent --please see photos for more detail. All told, the scarf is in very good pre-owned, vintage condition--it is gorgeous!
