This Gucci Silk Scarf is from the Exclusive Gucci Garden Product Line, the Creative Vision of Creative Director Alessandro Michele. The Spellbound design by the noted illustrator Vittorio Accornero features four unique vivid florals on a white background with silvery gray castle and ruin scenes underscoring the bold flowers. The large, square scarf measures 90 cm x 90 cm or 35 inches x 35 inches. The box, paper lining and shopping bag all adorn the Gucci Eye, the designated symbol of Gucci Garden. A Gucci Garden signature ribbon is in the box for a finishing touch when gifting.
Vittorio Accornero de Testa was one of the twentieth centuries most prominent Italian illustrators. In 1960 he was called upon by Rodolfo Gucci, the son of the company’s founder, to collaborate on a series of scarves. The scarves, an essential accessory of stylish women of the 1960’s and 1970’s, were worn by icons of the period such as Grace Kelly, Jacqueline Onassis and Sofia Loren.
